Mark Gleeson from Nenagh SC beat Shane Bates from Wexford in the Event 3 of the intermediate tour played at Snooker Billiards HQ on Sunday the 4th of February.
22 players from all over the country set out to play in this event with fine snooker played.
Mark Gleeson did not drop a frame on his way to the final Shane Bates made his way to the semi final without dropping a frame he came up against the No2 ranked player in the series Tommy O Donoghue this was a closely fought contest Donoghue showing his class with some fine potting and safety but Shane showed he was up for the contest equalling O Donoghues every move Shane held to win out 3/2.
The final was an open contest and much closer than the result suggests. Mark always looked stronger and went on to win 3/0 well done to all concerned.
