Dylan Rees from Dungarvan is the new National Seniors Snooker Champion. Snooker & Billiards Ireland held the 2025 National Finals Weekend in the Snooker & Billiards Ireland HQ in Carlow this weekend the 17th and 18th of May where we crowned 13 National Snooker & Billiards Champions.
Dylan won his second National Seniors Snooker title today against John Torpey from St John’s Limerick in a great final 5-4. The National Final was refereed by Shane Gorman.
Semi Finals
John Torpey beat Benny O Brien in the first semi and in the second semi Mark Walsh potted the winning ball only to see the cue ball go in off, Dylan went from strength to strength to win the decider.
SBI President Jim Leacy presented all the awards to the winners and the High break also went to Mark Tuite. It was fantastic season of Seniors snooker and SBI hope to build on this success next season.
