On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March SBI held the fourth Amateur event of the season which had an entry of 44 players.
This was a fantastic event and by the end of Saturday we were down to the Quarter Final stages
This event were best of 5 matches up till the quarter final stages and then best of 7 including the final.
There was a number of fantastic matches which included Tommy O Donoghue beating Mark Tuite, Noel Landers beating Philip Browne and Aaron Goldrick beating Mark Gleeson.

In the final it was Ryan who took an early lead by taking 3 of the first 4 frames to lead 3-1 but David wasn’t going to let this title go easily as he takes the next 2 to level at 3 frames all. It was Ryan who finally
took the deciding frame to take the title by a score line of 4 frames to 3.
SBI would like to congratulate David on reaching the final and well done to Ryan on winning his third event of the season.
The high break prize went to Aaron Goldrick who had a fantastic 122 break.

Players should be aware that all entries are through the on line system and you have to enter before the closing date of Thursday at 1pm prior to each event.
