Senior Billiards Championships 2012

The Senior Billiards Championships was played down to the semi-finals to-day 29th April in the Ivy Rooms The line-up for the finals weekend in Letterkenny is Larry Drennan v Aidan Murray and Rodney Goggins v Eugene Hughes. The Masters 7th Event was played to-day 22nd April at the Ivy Rooms.  The entries was down on previous events but none the less a fantastic tournament was played.  The final eventually was contested between Mark Tuite and Brendan Cooney. LADIES RANKING EVENT NO 6

The 6th Ladies ranking event took place in Q’s snooker club on Saturday 7th April. Catherine Fitzsimons made her return to the ranking series after a short absence. She played on form Sandra Bryan, and it was not to be a triumphant return for Catherine as Sandra quickly seen her off 3-0 in their quarter-final.

2012 European Championship Latvia

RIBSA have just confirmed the players who will represent Ireland in the upcoming EBSA European Snooker Championships in Latvia from the 4th – 14th June. Rodney Goggins, Brendan O Donoghue and Greg Casey will fly the flag in the Mens Championship while Mark Tuite, Frank Sarsfield and Anthony Bonnar will play in the Masters Event.
