Aaron Tobin from Youghal CYMS won the first RIBSA Under 19 Cue School in the Newbridge CYMS Snooker Club in Newbridge on the 29th of December. The best 20 players in the Republic of Ireland have qualified from the four region rankings to play in four groups to qualify for the knock out stages with them all having the goal of getting on the 2013 Home International team.
In the final the Corkman beat Andrew Doherty from Dublin 3 frames to nil in a high quality final. In the semi finals Aaron beat James McGuinness from Kilkenny and Andrew Doherty beat Dylan Carey in the other semi final.
Aaron Tobin also won the highest break with a superb 69 break. RIBSA would like to thank Newbridge CYMS, Tony Thorpe, Jim Carrick and Ger Murray for all their help in making it a great event.
