Home Internationals 2011

The 2011 Home Internationals will take place in Prestatyn, Wales from the 9th to 15th of September alongside the famous Pontins Pro Am and we are currently trying to finalise the squads. Every year Ireland is one of the best represented countries at the event with nearly 80 players and supporters travelling last year.

Senior Team

However like every year the task of finalising the teams is one of the toughest tasks and this year is no exception. To date only three players in the top eight on the senior rankings have confirmed their participation in this years home Internationals.

Thus Council is now seeking confirmation of participation from players ranked 9 to 16 on the senior rankings.

So if your ranked in the Top 16 and are interested in competing for your country please let us know as we still have 4-5 places available on the Senior team.

Just text your details to 085 1987379 before Sunday the 17th of July and the council will then make a decision on the final team for the event.

Masters Team

Unfortunately the Masters team is also very slow in confirming with only the 2011 Champion Mark Tuite confirmed for the event.

RIBSA was hoping to send two teams to the event this year so if your ranked between 3 and 9 on the Masters Rankings and interested in travelling with the squad please text your name and details to 085 1987379 before the 17th of July

We will also be running training days for the event on both the 14th of August and the 3rd of September and anyone competing for a team must attend these days. You will also be fitted for your waistcoat on the 14th if you do not already have one.

Training on each of these days will be will be from 11am to 4pm each day – The Cost is €5.00 euro per player per day.
