Snooker & Billiards Ireland offically launched the 2026 SBI / Aaron Hill Elite Squad for 12 talented young stars on Saturday 30th May in the SBI Academy in Carlow. The 12 players recieved thier polo shirt and hoddie plus a new Elite Squad Training Booklet.
SBI President Jim Leacy welcomed everyone and said SBI are delighted to see so much talent in this squad which bodes well for Snooker & Billiards Ireland producing stars of the future. He thanked Clancy Homes and Aaron Hill for all their Support to Junior Snooker.

Aaron Hill sent a Video for the players on the day. He said that his journey started when he was part of the 2019 RIBSA Elite Squad. He said he is looking forward to watching them all practice very soon and to believe him themselves with listening to PJ’s advice on how to practice.

Each player was selected on merit and SBI feel being part of this elite squad will give them extra confidence and belief. It will also drive on the players who missed out this season and get them to develop more to ensure they are part of the 2027 squad.
Squad Days Announced
The first Elite Squad day will be Saturday the 13th of June in the SBI Academy in Carlow from 11am-4pm and the second Squad day will be 18th July in Carlow from 11am-4pm with PJ and Ed.

All players on the Elite Squad will be coached by our National Coach PJ Nolan and his assisatnt coach will be Ed Donnelly from Newbridge CYMS.
