Well done to our U-16 Irish teams who played in 2025 HIBSF Home Internationals in the Northern Snooker Center in Leeds from Friday the 1st – the 8th of August. Snooker & Billiards Ireland have two team playing in the U-16 Snooker Championships and both team performed excellent.
Our A team were unbeaten in the groups with superb wins over Scotland and Wales. They drew with England B and were beten by England A in the semi finals of the Championships. The finished overall 3rd with a solid win over Northern Ireland.
Our B team also played fantastic and they reached the Cup final but were beaten by Wales in the final.
National Coach PJ Nolan was delighted with this U-21 cup titlle and Runner Up in the 16’s Cup and third place in the U-16 HIBSF Championships. This bodes well for the overall development of the junior game here in Ireland.
Fantastic results for the overall development and future of the game in Ireland is looking good.
