Ken Byrne from Dundalk is the new National Challenge Snooker Champion. Snooker & Billiards Ireland held the 2025 National Finals Weekend in the Snooker & Billiards Ireland HQ in Carlow this weekend the 17th and 18th of May where we crowned 13 National Snooker & Billiards Champions.
Today Ken won his first National Snooker Championships in style with a super win over John Ahearne from Dungarvan 3 frames to 2 in a great match. The match was refereed by Pat Mooney. SBI President Jim Leacy presented all the awards to the winners and the High break went to Sean Fitzgerald from Cork.
It has been a fantastic year of top class snooker in this category and SBI hope to build on this success next season.
