This morning the 6th event of the 2025 Super Senior Tour was hosted by Newbridge CYMS. 15 players went to post at 10am. TD Tony Thorpe welcomed all to the newly refurbished premeises. Good early wins were recorded by Anthony Flanagan and Colm Daly.
In the semi-finals Kevin McConville beat Newbridge clubmate Ernie McMullan 3 frames – 1 with first time entrant Paudie Kelly from the New Institute club in Nenagh overcame no. 1 seed Brendan Thomas from Roadstone in Dublin.
The final proved a one-sided affair with Paudie playing solidly and running out the winner 3 – 0.
Tony Thorpe as TD congratulated Paudie on his win at the first attempt. He also thanked the Newbridge club on the recent purchase and installation of 7 new Rasson tables. All the players were very happy with conditions and were looking forward to the SS championships which will take place in CYMS Newbridge in 2 weeks.
