Snooker & Billiards Ireland were notified by EBSA / IBSF of their intention to move the age qualification date for their International junior events from next season.
The Age change regarding International Junior Events is out of our SBI control. Snooker & Billiards Ireland have announced that the following age limits will be used for all our National SBI junior ranking events and our National Championships.
Each International body will have their own age limits and any player who qualifies to compete will have to comply to their international age qualification deadline.
- SBI 14’s: a player who’s 14th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2024 will not be able to enter the SBI 14s events in the 2024 /25 season.
- SBI 16’s: a player who’s 16th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2024 will not be able to enter the SBI 16s events in the 2024 /25 season.
- SBI 18’s: a player who’s 18th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2024 will not be able to enter the SBI 18s events in the 2024 /25 season.
- SBI 21’s: a player who’s 21st birthday is on or before the 31st December 2024 will not be able to enter the SBI 21s events in the 2024 /25 season.
