Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) held the 2024 National Under 21 Snooker Championships Final in the SBI HQ in Carlow on Saturday the 18th of May and it was Noel Gleeson from Nenagh who won the title in beating Alex Currid from Wexford 4 frames to 1 to take the title.
The High Break went to Alex Currid with a fantastic 102. (SBI) held the Championships in the SBI HQ in Carlow on Saturday the 4th of May with talented players from Nenagh, Cork, Meath, Dublin, Wexford and Galway and the standard was excellent.
This final was pllayed during SBI Finals weekend and featured the No. 1 seed Noel Gleeson from Nenagh and Alex Currid from Wexford after both played almost perfect snooker in reaching this National final.
Semi Finals

In both semi finals the standard was very high. Ryan won the opening frame against Noel and looked like it could be 2-0 but the No. 1 seed won it and the next two to win 3-1. In the other semi Alex opened with a 60 break to win frame 1, he then had a 102 to go 2-0 and looked good in the third frame only for last years Champion from Cork to clear the table to steal it, but the Wexford man played another great frame with a 41 break to win it 3-1.
This event was played in knock out with best of 5 frames format and the TD on the day was PJ Nolan and Referee was Conor Doyle.
