Earlier in the year Snooker & Billiards Ireland were notified by EBSA / IBSF of their intention to change the age qualification date for junior events – effective for the 2023-2024 season.
This change regarding International Events is out of SBI’s control. Snooker Billiards Ireland would like to announce that from 20th December 2023, the following age limits will be used for all SBI junior ranking events:
U-14’s: a player who’s 14th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2023 will not be able to enter the SBI under 14s events in the 2023 /24 season.
U-16’s: a player who’s 16th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2023 will not be able to enter the SBI under 16s events in the 2023 /24 season.
U-18’s: a player who’s 18th birthday is on or before the 31st December 2023 will not be able to enter the SBI under 18s events in the 2023 /24 season.
U-21’s: a player who’s 21st birthday is on or before the 31st December 2023 will not be able to enter the SBI under 21s events in the 2023 /24 season.
PLEASE NOTE
Each International body will have their own age limits for their events. Any player who qualifies and wishes to compete will have to comply with their international qualification rules.
