On Saturday the 22nd of May, Snooker & Billiards Ireland held their AGM on Zoom. SBI would like to thank all the members for attending on the day.
At 12 noon sharp SBI Chairman Dylan Rees welcomed all the members to the AGM, this was followed by SBI President Jim Leacy who gave his opening address, a minutes silence was held for anyone who had passed away during the year. Next our Chairman Dylan Rees informed the members about what has happened during the past year and on future events and news on the purposed new SBI HQ.
Next the minutes of the 2020 AGM were read by SBI Secretary Derek Kiely and received a proposer and seconder to have them passed. The SBI Secretary Derek Kiely gave his own 2021 Secretary report on the past season highlights on and off the table.
This was followed with a report by SBI Treasure John Tobin on the financial side of the association, next SBI Anti-Doping officer Jim Leacy gave a talk about how important it is for players and coaches be aware of the anti-doping process within Sport Ireland / Wada Anti-Doping Programme regarding prohibited products.
Our SBI National Coach and Development Officer PJ Nolan then went through the presentation on what has been happening behind the scenes on the SBI web site / social media on and off the table since the last AGM. Each side in his presentation below contains a hyperlink to allow everyone to get more information on each highlighted story in the developmental of our Association in the past 12 months.

Jim Leacy was re-elected unopposed to the position of SBI President and John Tobin was re-elected unopposed to the position of SBI Treasure.
The proposed motions were discussed next and voted on with one motion deferred to the upcoming EGM where all elections will also be held as SBI wanted to hold a EGM with members in attendance to insure the elections were done correctly.

Each member is so important and hopefully soon SBI can announce the date and venue of the EGM plus news on future events and on the planned SBI HQ in Carlow so keep an eye on our web site and social media platforms.
