Day 5 in Sofia EBSA 2014

Day five was another day of top class snooker at the 2014 EBSA Snooker Championships here in the Ramada Hotel in Bulgaria.

Masters Event

Tom Gleeson had an impressive win over Danny Connolly from England winning 3 frames to nil and the Nenagh man is beginning to find some good form. Tom has now won his group and will be among the top seeds for the knock out stages.

Tom O Driscoll was up against the defending Champion Darren Morgan from Wales today and the Welsh ex pro made a top break of 103 in a 3 frames to nil victory over the Waterford man.

Alen Matic lost his second match today when he was beaten 3 frames to 1 by Costas Konnaris from Cyprus  after the Irishman had won the opening frame.

Mark Tuite came up against an on form Jamie Bodle from England and was beaten 3 frames to nil in a one sided match where the Englishman beat Mark to every punch.

Men’s Event

Jason Devaney had a day off today but Rodney Goggins continued his good form with another victory over Antti Mannila from Finland winning 4 frames to 1.

Finally Josh Boileau also is undefeated here in Sofia when he beat Tobias Friedrichs from Germany 4 frames to 2 and the Kildare man is fully focused on the job ahead
