Everyone involved in the snooker world will be saddened to hear that the husband of Geraldine McQuade, Hisham Al Abiad passed away in Egypt today after a brief illness.
The Republic Of Ireland Billiards and Snooker Association would like to express their very deepest sympathy to Geraldine, family and friends at this sad time. May he rest in Peace R.I.P.
Personally ; Hisham had worked with me in the Qatar Snooker Federation and was a true friend. Hisham was a pure gentleman to everyone he met around the world. A big man with even a bigger heart and the sudden news of his illness shocked me so much. He flew back to Egypt last week and I know he is in no more pain and at peace now.
My thoughts are with Geraldine, Family and all his Friends all over the world today. R.I.P.
