On behalf of the IBSF Executive and the Qatar Billiard Sports Federation QBSF, I have the pleasure of inviting you to send your players to participate in the 2025 IBSF World Snooker Championships (Men, Women) in Doha – Qatar from the 3rd to the 13th November, 2025.
If any SBI Member is interested in playing in this Championship. They need to email info@sbireland.ie before the 12th September at 1pm. The National Rankings will select the players if many are interested in playing in this World Championship.
IBSF Men Snooker Championship is played in two stages format: 1. Stage – 1 – Qualifying Round (64 Players) All the players except for those who fall within the criterion set for the main event, by the IBSF Technical Committee, are required to qualify for the main event, through the qualifying events.
- The qualifying events will be played on knock out basis.
- Each event will be completed in two days.
- Each qualifying event will conclude on Last-8 stage.
- All the matches will be played on Best of 7 frames.
- Stage – 2 – Main Event (48 Players) 48 Players will participate, according to the following criteria: 32 Players pre-qualified as per the attached list. 16 players from qualifying tournaments
- Brendan O Donoghue has qualified for stage 2 after reaching the last 16 in 2024.
