Snooker & Billiards Ireland have just announced the details of the 2022 National Snooker Shootout. The event is sponsored by Reevan Construction LTD and will held at the SBI HQ Academy in Carlow on Saturday 1st of October.
This year will see four qualifiers played throughout the day. When players enter the event, they will be automatically entered into the four separate qualifying stages with the semi-finalists in each event going through to the last 16 later in the day.
2022 Format
All matches will be one frame, with a time limit of 10 minutes per match.
A beep will start the matches in the venue, and a 3,2,1 beep will end all matches.
A player trying to delay the clock will receive a YELLOW warning. On receiving a second warning a player will forfeit the match. The Tournament officials on the day will monitor this and ensure the smooth running. This event received great reviews from all the participants and its eagerly awaited.
The Champion of 2019 was Davy Morris.
- 10am – 1st Qualifier
- 12noon – 2nd Qualifier
- 2pm – 3rd Qualifier
- 4pm – 4th Qualifier
- Last 16 – 6pm
- Q-Final – 6.20pm
- Semi Final 6.40pm
- Final 7pm
This shootout is open to all ages, genders and abilities. Members can enter on line from today
Prize Fund
Players are asked to note that the prize fund for all SBI tournaments for the coming season will be a guaranteed 70% of the entry fee pot with 30% of the pot going towards officiating and club hosting costs. SBI will top up prize funds when required on a case-by-case basis.
Closing Dates
The closing date for all SBI events will 1pm on the Thursday before the event. The Draw will be done automatically on the system with match times and displayed on the web site.
Tournament Entry Fees
The cost of entry will be the following:
- Over 21’s– €30.00
- Under 21 – €20.00
Dress Code
The dress code for the SBI Shoot Out is:
- Dark Shoes (no runners)
- Dark one coloured trousers (no jeans)
- Official SBI Polo Shirt.
- Anyone without SBI Polo Shirt can buy on the day for €25 each – Sizes S.M.L.X, XL XXL
