The 2013 Celtic Junior Snooker Challenge against Wales will be held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club on Saturday 22nd of June and it promises to be a great day of Junior Snooker. Five sessions of play will be played on the day at 10am, 11.30am, 2pm, 3.30pm and 5pm with all the matches consisting of 2 frames with a point for each frame won for his team.
PJ Nolan will be the Team Manager and Coach for this event. Wales won last year Challenge in Wales but PJ is confident his 2013 team will win this year’s event in Carlow.
Teams
The RIBSA Under 16 team consists of Adam Fitzgerald ( Captain ) Sean Burns, Shane Bates, Charlie Sweeney, Stephen Bateman and Keane McCarthy.
The RIBSA Under 14 team consists of Corey Ramsbottom ( Captain ) Fergal Quinn, Conor Kennedy, Noel Landers, Ronan Whyte and Ross Bullman or Darragh Cusack.
( Darragh Cusack needs to win the National Championship on the 26th of May to go ahead of Ross Bulman to get on the team)
Irish Team Training Day
A training day in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club with our National Coach PJ Nolan will be held on Saturday 15th of June from 11am – 4pm to prepare the players for the event.
PJ will put the teams through their paces with routines and mini match – play games working on the players shot selection. A number of sports psychology programs will also be on hand on the day for the players to work on their mind fitness to get in that winning zone.
