IBSF WORLD 6 RED & TEAM SNOOKER

RIBSA are requesting players interested in playing in the IBSF WORLD 6 RED & TEAM SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS in Marsa Alam – Egypt from the 12th – 22nd December 2018 to send email to ribsa to confirm interest.

Players must be on relevant ranking list and must be inside top 20 unless an International in last 3 years.

Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sports is now hosting the 2018 IBSF World 6Reds (Men & Women) and Team Snooker (Men, Masters & Women) Championships in the Marasa Alam city of Egypt located on the Red Sea coast. The championship is schedule from 12th till 22nd December 2018.

Info Pack for these championships has already been sent to member countries and is available on website also. Please use ‘Member’s page’ on our website www.ibsf.info to send your players entry. The last date of sending entry is 25th November 2018. Please note that system will not accept incomplete entries.

– Each country is allowed to send 2 Teams of 2 players in Men, 4 Teams of 2 players for Women and 2 Teams of 2 players for Masters.
– Each country is allowed to send 2 players of Men, and Women for the 6 Red in addition to the players from the Team events.
– Each region is allowed to send the winner and runner-up of their continent 6 Red and team Championship both Men and Women.

Entry fee will be US$ 70.00 per Championship per player and to be paid to the Tournament Committee before the start of the Championships.

The Championship will start on 13th December with Team Championships over 5 days. This will be followed by 6Reds Championships with final and closing ceremony on 22nd December 2018.

Opening ceremony, players and referees meeting will be on the evening of 12th December.

Important notice for all players

The IBSF will qualify the last 4 players in 6Reds to the Qatar 6Reds World Cup in January 2019.
The IBSF will qualify the last 4 teams in Men’s event to the Qatar World team Cup in March 2019.
The IBSF will qualify the Champion in 6 reds to the ACBS Asian tour 2019.
(Three events in China, India and Qatar)

ABOUT MARSA ALAM: Marsa Alam is a town in south-eastern Egypt, located on the western shore of the Red Sea. It is currently seeing fast increasing popularity as a tourist destination and development following the opening of Marsa Alam International Airport in 2003.

Among the most famous beaches around Marsa Alam is the Abu Dabab beach. In Abu Dabab, turtles are a common sight, and it is nearly guaranteed that when diving, one will see at least one turtle. For tourists who seek to see something less typical, there is marine wildlife like crocodilefish and octopuses.

Marsa Alam also has some inland attractions, such as the Emerald Mines and the Temple of Seti I at Khanais.

Temperature during the championship period should be 25˚ (Avg. High) and 14˚ (Avg. Low)

REFEREES ACCOMMODATION & DAILY FOOD ALLOWANCE
A total of 16 international referees from outside Egypt and Africa will be selected for this event.

The number of referees allocated for each IBSF Region is as follows:
America: 1 Referee,
Asia: 6 Referees,
Europe: 6 Referees,
Oceania: 3 Referees.

The Referees meeting will take place at the Jaz Grand Resta Hotel at 18:00 (6pm) on the 12th of December 2018. Matches will start on the 13th of December and the Final and closing ceremony will be on the 22nd of December. All referees must be nominated by their Regional Referee’s association on or before the 20th of October 2018.

Accommodation will be supplied on a twin share basis for all International Referees on soft all-inclusive basis. IBSF will pay US$ 400 for each international referee. No allowances will be payable to any other officials, delegates or players.
