First RIBSA National over 50’s Snooker Tournament of the season was held on Saturday the 9th of November in Newbridge CYMS. In the final former professional player Eugene Hughes beat Stephen Merrigan from Roadstone SC 3 frames to 1 in a high-class final. In the Semi-Finals Eugene Hughes beat Brian McPhee  from Potters Drogheda 3-1

The National Over 50’s Snooker Championship will be held in Roadstone Sports and Social Club on Sunday 12th May. The entry fee is €20.00 and if you are not a registered Ribsa player you will have to pay an extra €5 for a one day registration fee. You can contact Jim Carrick or Stephen Merrigan to enter.

Nicky Ryan from the Hawks Nest in Waterford won the first over 50’s competition in Cyms Newbridge on Saturday 23rd March. In the final Nicky beat Stephen Merrigan 3 frames to 1.  The Highest break of the day was 90 Break by Tommy Murphy from Darcy McGees. The Entry fee was €20. 00. For more
