As part of winning his record breaking 6th Snooker & Billiards Ireland National Irish Amateur Championship title earlier in the year Brendan O Donoghue from Nenagh was awarded a free session with our National Coach PJ Nolan in the SBI HQ in Carlow to prepare for the 2023 World IBSF Snooker Championships which will be held in Qatar.
During this camp, Brendan had sessions on Break-Building, Safety, Long Potting and Technique checks. Brendan received a training program booklet with practice drills plus a sports phycology booklet to help him work on his mind fitness.
All the latest training aids will be used in the camp to enhance the session like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser, EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get him on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in his delivery.
PJ said he was very impressed with the commitment and attitude of Brendan during the session and the confidence is very high and it was a pleasure to train him.

3 More Camps
Three more International Snooker Training Camps will be held for this World IBSF Championships in Qatar on Thursday 26th October, Friday 27th October and Saturday 4th November.
The players will practice on the Star & Rasson Match Tables from 11am-4pm on each day of the Camp.

IBSF World Championships
The 2023 IBSF World Snooker (Men, Women & Masters) and English Billiards Championships will be held in Doha, Qatar during the period from the 5th until the 24th of November 2023.
The IBSF World Championships that will be organized are as follows:
- The World Men Snooker Championship, 6 Reds Championship and Teams Snooker Championship.
- The World Women Snooker Championship and 6 Reds Championship.
- The World Masters Snooker Championship and Teams Snooker Championship.
- The World Men English Billiards Long-Up Championship, and the 150-Up Championship.
SBI would like to wish the players and Officials good luck in this Championships in Qatar.
