World Seniors Snooker is delighted to announce the first 4 Qualifying dates for the 2023/24 season which will see the tour visit venues in the North and South of England as well as Ireland and Jersey.
All these will carry a coveted place in the 2024 LLP Solicitors World Seniors Snooker Championship which will be staged at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from the 8th to the 12th May.
- WSS 1 Friday 15th to Sunday 17th September 2023 – The Crucible, Reading
- WSS 2 Friday 6th to Sunday 8th October 2023 – North East Snooker Centre, North Shields
- WSS 3 Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th February 2024 – Snooker Billiards Ireland Academy, Carlow
- WWS 4 Friday 8th – Sunday 10th March 2024 – The Mechanics Club, Jersey.
Super Seniors
On the Sundays of each of these qualifiers we will also stage a Super Seniors event for those aged 55 and over.
- Sunday 17th September 2023 – The Crucible, Reading
- Sunday 8th October 2023 – North East Snooker Centre, North Shields
- Sunday 25th February 2024 – Snooker Billiards Ireland Academy, Carlow
- Sunday 10th March 2024 – The Mechanics Club, Jersey
Tour membership and eligibility rules will be announced in due course, all players will need to secure a 2023/24 World Seniors Tour Membership to participate.
Chairman Jason Francis said “We’re aware many of our tour have been asking for dates so we wanted to get the crucible qualifier dates announced as we understand for many that is the ultimate prize for any snooker player and people will need to schedule them in.
We are working hard on our open series dates and also trying to stage the Uk Seniors Championship once again so hope to make more announcements soon. We hope by staging these first four in different geographical locations that many more non mainland based players will be able to enter. We aim to open tour membership and entries for these events in the near future”
