David Causier from England successfully defended his World Matchplay Billiards Championship title when he defeated Peter Sheehan from England 8-1 in the final of the 2023 World Matchplay Billiards Championship in the Snooker & Billiards Ireland Academy in Carlow.
This World Matchplay was sponsored by the Snooker & Billiards Ireland and the prestigious level six WBL ranking event was the main course of a big double-header which also featured the Irish Open.
