Number 1 seed Jack O Brien from Limerick won the 2023 SBI National Under 16 Snooker Championship in SBI HQ in Carlow on Sunday the 14th of May. In the final he beat No. 2 seed Joe Shannon from Longford in a great final 3 frames to 0 after a long day to claim the title.
The 2022 Champion was Leone Crowley from Cork who won the title last year. Players from Galway, Newbridge, Youghal, Longford, Limerick and Dublin battled it out for this prestigious junior title this year.

Both Semi-finals were excellent quality with great potting and good tactical snooker, end of the day it was Jack and Joe who won to play in another final this season.

International Referee Conor Doyle was the TD on the day and he was very impressed with the talent on show. The tournament High Break went to Joe Shannon. The season High Break medal went to Jack O Brien with a 41 Break during the season.
