Snooker & Billiards Ireland presented the 2023 SBI Referee of the year Award to John Tobin from St Patrick SC in Trim in the SBI HQ in Carlow on Sunday the 30th of April.
SBI President Jim Leacy and SBI Chairman Dylan Rees made the presentation before the SBI Annual General Meeting. Aonghus McAnally announced the presentation in front of the large attendance in the Academy of Excellence.
The other Award winners were;
- Services to Snooker award (Volunteer) – Arthur Greer
- SBI Coach of the year award – Tony Seymour
- SBI TD of the year award – Shane Mason
- SBI Player’s player of the year (OVER 21yrs) – Ross Bulman (1 vote per member)
- SBI Junior Player’s player of the year (U- 21) – Alex Currid (1 vote per member)
- SBI Club of year award – Dungarvan SC
- SBI Hall of Fame – Fergal O Brien
