Snooker & Billiards Ireland would like to announce the details of the 2023 Irish Amateur Snooker Championships Finals weekend which will be held at the SBI HQ Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Saturday the 29th and Sunday 30th of April to find the 2023 Champion.

The winner will follow in the footsteps of all our great players throughout the years. The defending Champion is Brendan O Donoghue from Nenagh who won his fifth title in 2022.

The Final of the National U-18 & U-21 Snooker and Billiards Championship will be also held on Sunday 30th April at 10am.

The SBI AGM will also be held on Sunday the 30th of April at 12.30pm – 2.30pm in the SBI HQ in Carlow for our members to attend.
National Amateur Snooker Championships Prize Fund
SBI announced that a €1800 prize fund will be up for grabs for this year’s National Amateur Snooker Championships.

- Semi Finalists 4 x € 150
- Q-Finalists 4 x € 75
- High Break € 100
Total Prize Fund € 1800
2023 Format
- Last 16 – Best of 7 – Saturday 29th – 10am
- Q-Final – Best of 9 – Saturday 29th – 2pm
- Semi Final – Best of 11 – Saturday 29th – 6pm
- Final – Best of 13 – Sunday 30th – 10am (5frames) & restart at 3pm

Dress Code
- The dress code for the 2023 SBI National Championship is full dress:
- Dark Shoes (no runners)
- Dark one coloured trousers (no jeans)
- One coloured shirt buttoned at the wrist and waistcoat.
- Waistcoats must be worn for all matches.
- National Waistcoats are not permissible
- Bowties are also required for the SBI Championships weekend matches.
