No 2 seed Joe Shannon from Longford won the SBI U-16 Event 3 on Sunday 24 February in the SBI HQ in Carlow
Joe beat Jack O Brien 3-0 in a top class quality final. Joe played steady snooker with some good potting and safety to win the title.
In the semi-finals Joe beat Max Kennedy from Galway 3-2 and Jack beat David Hickey from Youghal CYMS 3-1
Jack O Brien had a wonderful break of 41 which was the highest break of the event.

Good luck to Jack and Joe and the other Irish juniors at the European Championships in Malta
On the day Conor Doyle was the TD and refereed the final. Well done to Joe on winning the title and a special well done to Jamie Lupo Mullaney who impressed everyone at his first SBI event. Final thank you to all the players for making it a great day of irish junior snooker.
