Snooker & Billiards Ireland would like to wish all our players the best of luck in the 2023 European Snooker Championships in Malta from 6th to 18th March. There will be 4 separate events this year with the European U-16, U-18, U-21, Men’s Singles Snooker Championships.
The competition will start on Monday 6th March with the U16 Championships and then we’ll continue back to back with the U18, U21 and finish with the Men (Mixed) Snooker championships.
As usually, the winner of the U21 and the winner of the Men (Mixed) Snooker Championships will each be nominated for a Main Tour Ticket to attend the Professional circuit during 2 years: 2023/2024 & 2024/2025.
- U-16 Players: Jack O Brien, Joe Shannon, Max Kennedy, Aaron Donnelly, Davy Hickey
- U-18 Players: James O Connell, Aaron Smith, Joe Shannon, Jack O Brien, Ronan McGuirk
- U-21 Players: Alex Currid, Aaron Smith, Ronan McGuirk, Lewis Casserly, James O Connell
- Amateur Players: Ross Bulman, Brendan O Donoghue, Stephen Bateman , David Cassidy, Mark Walsh
The EBSA is delighted to announce a new record of participation in this year’s European Snooker Championships to be played in Malta. No less than, 64 players in the U16’s, 80 players in the U18’s, 96 players in the U21’s and 180 players will take part in the Men’s Championships.
