As part of the agreement with SBI and RILSA to support and advance the development of the game in particular in relation to Ladies Snooker two referees seminars were held.
On Tuesday 10th January and Tuesday 31st January from 7.30pm – 9.30pm the SBI referee’s association held seminars with the members of RILSA in Sharkx Snooker Club Newbridge with the aim to train these members to become referees of snooker with our association.
These seminars will provide a platform in grading these members to become qualified referees in Ireland and internationally.
Shane Mason and Neil Shanahan held these 2 snooker seminars on behalf of SBI with Brendan Devlin observing. There is a billiard seminar planned in the near future.
There we 9 members from RILSA present for these seminars Joanna Ward, Stephanie Foley, Joe Lyons,Annette, Newlan, Sandra Bryan, Jennifer Earle, Peter McDermot, Dave Earle and Dan Carroll.
SBI are delighted to have these members on board and we look forward to seeing them all refereeing at our events in the future.
