The second SBI Under-21 Ranking Event of the season took place on Sunday 4th December at the Snooker and Billiards Ireland Academy of Excellence in Carlow. At the end of the day it was the number 1 seed Alex Currid from the Liam Mellows Club in Wexford who won the title to extend his lead on the National U-21 Rankings.
In the final Alex beat Aaron Smith from Potters SC in a high quality final 3 frames to 0. In the semi finals Alex beat Dylan Troy from Dungarvan 3-0 while Aaron beat James O Connell 3-0 in the other semi final. The high break went to Alex Currid with a 52 break.
The top 5 have now qualified for the European U-21 in Malta. All players need to email info@sbireland.ie to confirm place as soon as possible.If more than 5 players confirm a play off will be held to find the 4th & 5th player as 3 players are tied on 100-8.

The next Under-21 ranking event of the season will take place again at the Snooker and Billiards Ireland Academy of Excellence in Carlow on the 5th February.
