Snooker & Billiards Ireland announced a new event on the calendar earlier in the year for all our registered Snooker & Billiards Clubs. The National SBI Pot Black will be held in the SBI HQ in Carlow on Sunday 18th of December.
This one frame format was very popular on BBC TV and helped the grow the game of snooker. Each club received a club pack which contained a draw sheet for the club to hold their own pot black qualifying event.
Once the club has held their club qualifier they need to email info@sbireland.ie with the name of the player who will represent them in the National finals on the 18th Dec.
At Present SBI have received the following qualifiers

- St John’s Limerick – Anthony Cronin

- Hawks Nest SC – Stephen Walsh
- Trallee SC – Micheal Creagh
- St Mary’s Mullingar – Stephen von Beaumont
- Midleton SC – Jay Chopra

The closing date for Clubs to hold their qualifier is the 16th of December
The Draw will be done at 1pm on Friday 16th December on the web site

Dress Code
- SBI POLO SHIRTS ARE ALLOWED
- Dark Shoes (no runners)
- Dark one coloured trousers (no jeans)
- One coloured shirt buttoned at the wrist
- Waistcoats must be worn for all matches
- National Waistcoats are not permissible
