Team Ireland of Stephen Walsh & John O Sullivan brave bid to win the European EBSA Seniors Over 40 Snooker Team Championships here in Shengjin in Albania ended in the semi-finals with a 4-3 defeat to Team Belgium.
The Irishmen lost the first frame but then won the next three frames which included a 60 break by John O Sullivan. Their opponent fought back to win the next two and the decider and deny the Irishmen a place in the European final which Wales ended up winning.
Team Belgium also beat Ireland Team 1 of Mark Tuite & John Farrell in the Q-Finals.
A big well done to Stephen & John and they should be very proud of what they achieved this week and also well done to all the Irish Juniors, Seniors and Men players who played this year in Albania.

The 2022 European EBSA Seniors Over 40 Snooker Team Championships was played in Shengjin in Albania at the Delfin Hotel. SBI had 2 teams playing in the event with Ireland Team 1 of Mark Tuite & John Farrell and Ireland Team 2 of Stephen Walsh & John O Sullivan.
Ireland were the defending champions after Mark Tuite & Frank Sasfield won the title in 2021.
