Andrew Doherty from Dublin won the 2022 Snooker and Billiards Ireland National Intermediate Snooker Championships on Saturday the 21st of May in the SBI HQ in Carlow. In the final Andrew beat local man Colvin O Brien 4 frames to 1 in an exciting final which was refereed by John Tobin.
Earlier in the day Andrew beat Donal Foran from Galway 3-2 while Colvin Beat Dylan Rees 3-0 in the Semi finals in two good matches.
This event began on Sunday 8th May when we had 42 entrants all bidding to become the National Champion. The standard in the championship was high quality with Dylan Rees knocking out the number 3 seed. The number 2 seed was also knocked out early by Karl Fitzpatrick but we had 4 good players in the semi finals today and the standard was high.

The high break prize went to with a 74 break by Mark Gleeson.
