The third Snooker & Billiards Ireland Amateur Tour event of the season was played in the SBI HQ in Carlow over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of April. The event was open to any gender and we had 33 entries in the event.
The players battled through a long days of play which ended after 10pm on the Saturday where Brendan O Donoghue had reached the final. The other Semi Final was played on the Sunday morning at 11am and the final at 2pm.
In the early round there were no real shocks as 6 of the top 8 seeds all making it through to the quarter finals.
In the Quarter Finals Sean King nearly cases a huge upset nearly taking out the number 2 seed in a very closely fought match

- Sean King 3 – 4 Ryan Cronin
Semi Finals

- Mark Tuite 2 – 4 Ryan Cronin
Final
- Brendan O Donoghue 4 – 1 Ryan Cronin
The highest break of the tournament was 72 by Mark Tuite
