The second Snooker & Billiards Ireland Intermediate Tour event of the season began in the SBI HQ in Carlow on the 12th March. The players battled through a long days of play which ended after 12am on the Saturday to qualify for the Semi Finals. Today the 17th of April it was completed in Celbridge SC with Galway man Donal Foran winning 3 frames to 2 on the final black against Dubliner Ivor Fitzpatrick in a great final.
SBI would like to thank the players and Celbridge SC for playing and hosting the semi final and final today in the club. Donal now moves to Number 1 on the current Intermedaite Rankings after winning event 2 and event 3 this season. Well Done Donal.
In the early round of the event there were a number of outstanding performances which included Aaron Goldrick beating the number 2 seed Victor McCormack, Nicky Ryan beating Colvin O Brien, Tommy O Donoghue beating Jay Chopra.
