This year the championship will be played in four qualifiers in the regions in Dublin, Leinster, Munster and Connacht to qualify players for the final stages. 4 Players qualify in each region for the last 16 stage in the new SBI HQ on the 18th of December. Dublin and Leinster have completed their regions.
Entry for Munster and Connacht Regions is open until 1PM Today.
Snooker & Billiards Ireland announced all matches will be best of 7 frames in the regions.

Members can ONLY enter one of the qualifiers. Entry is done through the online SBI system but if anyone is unable to enter online they can text their entry to 085 2428701 with your 1. Your Name, 2. Your Club, 3. Date of Birth, 4. Confirm fully Vaccinated, 5. Name of the Region you want to enter.
(Without all information, you will NOT be entered in the event).
Members can enter ANY of the 4 regions to qualify for the final stages of the Irish Amateur Snooker Championships which will be played in the new SBI HQ in Carlow on the 18th & 19th of December.
Saturday 11th December

Closing Dates
The closing date for each qualifier will 1pm on the Friday before the event. The Draw will be then done automatically on the system with match times and displayed on the web site.
Entry Fees
The cost of entry will be the following:
- €32.00 for 21 and over
- €15.00 for players under 21
- €5 for players under 16
Only SBI members can enter and play in SBI tournaments but one-day registration is available at €7.00 if you are not already a SBI member. Anyone who texts enter will pay entry on day.
Players Note
Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) announced all SBI tournaments and events every player and official must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 with no exception.
This is the policy of Snooker & Billiards at this current moment in time, but SBI will constantly monitoring the situation and should the rules change with direction from Sport Ireland and the Government, SBI will review the situation.
Please remember – proof of vaccination will be needed to be shown to the Tournament Director and there will be tracing completed at all events.
