Snooker & Billiards Ireland held an Extraordinary General Meeting today at Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in Trim, Co. Meath on Saturday 7th of August.
The main purpose of todays EGM was to elect a new Vice Chairman and seven ordinary members on to the Council to join President Jim Leacy, Chairman Dylan Rees, Secretary Derek Kiely and Treasurer John Tobin.
President Jim Leacy thanked the outgoing Vice Chairman James Bateman who left the position for personal family reasons.
Everyone of the large attendance wished James the very best. In light of this Tom O’Driscoll was elected as Vice Chairman for the remaining period of one year.

In the election for seven Ordinary members positions elected were:
- Tony Thorpe
- Ger Murray
- Robert Murphy
- Shane Mason
- Aonghus McAnally
- David Joyce
- Neil Shanahan
Now the Council is complete with twelve members.
