Snooker & Billiards Ireland will now hold an Extraordinary meeting at Knightsbrook Hotel Spa and Golf Resort, Trim Co. Meath on Saturday the 7th of August 2021 at 11am sharp.
There will be a couple of very important items to discuss on the day in particular the election of Council members.
There are seven places to be filled on Council and nominations must be sent to the Secretary Derek Kiely at info@sbireland.ie by the Proposer and the Seconder and the Nominee must also email his or her acceptance for the nomination before 23.59pm of the 23rd of July 2021.
All proposers, seconders and nominees must be SBI Members.
We encourage all members to attend this meeting as our NGB moves forward in 2021/22.
Everyone at SBI is looking forward to an exciting year when at last it looks like our games are ready to resume, International Snooker is on the way with the EBSA European Championships proposed for October in Albufeira in Portugal and the IBSF World Championships in Qatar in November.
Domestically we hope to get snooker re-started with our National Championships a priority and further news will be released on this as soon as possible and Billiards will be back up and running too with plenty of time to catch up on we ask your patience for a while more as we get our games and competitions in line with Government guidelines and the support and advice from Sport Ireland.
