RIBSA President Jim Leacy and RIBSA Chairman Dylan Rees along with Ger Murray from the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) have just presented the 2020 RIBSA Volunteer of the year award to Tommy Dowling from Tralee Snooker Club in County Kerry on Saturday the 26th of September in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
This award is open to all current Registered members and selected by the RIBSA Association board members each year to someone who is passionate in promoting our sports. Tommy fit that to a tee and today RIBSA Secretary Tony Thorpe received the award and certificate on behalf of Tommy.
RIBSA will deliver his award to Tralee and arrange a photo with Tommy as soon as possible on the web site. After the award was presented the re-brand of the Association took place and from now on the award will be called Snooker & Billiards Volunteer of the year Award.
