Leone Crowley from Cork won the third RIBSA Under 18 Snooker Ranking of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Saturday the 7th of December.
In the final Leone beat Alex Currid from Liam Mellows SC in Wexford 3 frames to 1 in a excellent final which was refereed by Conor Doyle.
In the semi finals Alex Currid beat Ryan McGuirk from the R&R 3-1 while Leone beat Adam Halnon from Gorey 3-2 in the other semi final.

Tournament Info
Notice for Players wishing to compete in the RIBSA U18 and U21 events on 7th and 8th December. Any players having difficulty entering the event should arrive in the Ivy Rooms before 10am on each morning.
A member of RIBSA committee will be on hand to assist with online registration and entry for players.
When this process is completed for all, the draw for the event will be made. Please note a credit card will be required for payments.
Enter Via – On-Line Payment System
This event will be the first event where the players will have to enter on line via the new on line RIBSA payment system.
Players will have to first pay their yearly membership and register for the season. When they register, they will be asked to create a password before they will be allowed to enter an event. Only then will players be able to enter a RIBSA Tournament.
Please Note: Any player who has already paid their yearly RIBSA membership must redo this process on line and they will be refunded when they arrive at the tournament.

It promises to be an exciting final event for our young talented players looking to qualify for this major International Event in Portugal.
Full Qualification System for EBSA Under 18 Championship
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have announced they will hold three International Ranking tournaments before Christmas to qualify the players. This structure will be organised by our National Coach PJ Nolan. This Qualification will run from September to December to qualify players for the 2020 European Under 18 Championships.
Format
The RIBSA U-18 events will be the best of 5 frames including the final. A plate event will be held for first round losers on the same day.
Closing Dates
The NEW closing date for entries will be the the morning of the event at 10.00am and the draw will be then published on the ribsa web site at 10.15am. Action starts at 10.30am
Entry Fee
The entry fee will be €11.00 plus Reg. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the plate event.
