George O’Hara wins Intermediate Event 2

George O Hara from Fairview SC in Dublin made it two out of two when he won the RIBSA second Intermediate ranking event of the season in the Tralee Snooker Club in County Kerry on the 9th of November.

Just like in the first event in the Darcy McGees last month, George O Hara beat the same opponent John Torpey from St Johns SC in Limerick 3 frames to 1 in a great final.

Semi Finals

In the semi finals George beat Benny O Brien from Kilkenny Shed 3-1 while John beat Joe Purcell from Rathkeale SC 3-2 in the other semi final. Benny and Joe now qualify for the Grand Finals later in the year.

Thank you

RIBSA would like to thank TD Pat Mooney and all the players in making it a great event. RIBSA would also like to thank Tommy Dowling and Trallee Snooker Club on being the perfect host on the day.  John Torpey went very close to making a 147 event and the standard was very high all day.

Grand Finals

The Semi Finalists in each of the four regions will qualify for the Last 16 Grand Finals later in the year.

Event 1 Qualifiers : John Torpey, George O Hara, Dane Daly and Adrian Morrissey

Event 2 Qualifiers : Benny O Brien, Joe Purcell
