Ryan McGuirk won the second RIBSA Under 18 Snooker Ranking of the season in the Ivy Rooms SC Carlow on Sunday the 20th of October. In the final Ryan McGuirk beat Noel Gleeson in a superb final 3 frames to 2 which was referred by Conor Doyle.
It was a fantastic day of junior snooker with all players in fine form in trying to qualify for the 2020 EBSA Under 18 Championship in Portugal. In the Semi Finals Ryan McGuirk beat the Number 1 seed Leone Crowley 3 frames to nil while in the other semi-final it was Noel Gleeson who beat Lewis Casserly 3-0.

- Noel Gleeson Beat Adam Quinn 3-0
The Plate Final was between Ronan McGuirk and Aaron Smith and it was Aaron Smith who won the final 2 frames to 1 in a good quality match.

It promises to be another exciting year of junior snooker with so many young talented players looking to qualify for this major International Event in Portugal.
Full Qualification System for EBSA Under 18 Championship
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have announced they will hold three International Ranking tournaments before Christmas to qualify the players.
This structure will be organised by our National Coach PJ Nolan. This Qualification will run from September to December to qualify players for the 2020 European Under 18 Championships.
Format
The RIBSA U-18 events will be the best of 5 frames including the final. A plate event will be also held for first round losers on the day.
Closing Dates
The NEW closing date for entries will be the morning of the event at 10.00am and the draw will be then published on the RIBSA web site at 10.15am. Action Starts at 10.30am.
Entry Fee
The entry fee will be €10.00 plus Reg. This can be paid on the day. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the events
