Noel Landers from Youghal won the first RIBSA / EBSA Under 21 Snooker Ranking of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Saturday the 14th of September. In the final he beat Mark Gleeson from Nenagh in a great final 3 frames to 2.
Noel also had the highest break on the day with a fantastic 103 break. Noel now goes Number 1 in the rankings and It promises to be another exciting year of Under 21 Snooker with our young players trying to qualify for the 2020 EBSA Under 21 Championship in Portugal.
- Semi Finals
In the Semi Finals Mark Gleeson beat Jack Newman 3-2 while Noel Landers beat Ryan McGuirk 3-1 in the other semi finals.

Entry Fee
The entry fee will be €10.00 plus Reg. This can be paid on the day. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the three events plus in the plate.
- 2019-2020 Season
Aaron Hill and Ross Bulman have already received a wild card into the EBSA Under 21 Championship after their performance in winning the 2019 EBSA U-18’s and Finalist in the EBSA U-21’s in Israel last year so they will not compete in the RIBSA Events.
It promises to more another exciting year of Irish junior snooker with so many young talented players looking to qualify for this major International Event in Portugal.
Closing Dates
The NEW closing date for entries will be the the morning of the event at 10.00am and the draw will be then published on the ribsa web site at 10.15am. Action Starts at 10.30am.

Full Qualification System for EBSA Under 20 Championship
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have announced they will hold three International Ranking tournaments before Christmas to qualify the players.
This structure will be organised by our National Coach PJ Nolan. This Qualification will run from September to December to qualify players for the 2020 European Under 21 Championships.
Format
The RIBSA U-21 events will be the best of 5 frames including the final. A plate event will be held for first round losers on the same day.
