13year old Leone Crowley from Cork won the first RIBSA / EBSA Under 18 Snooker Ranking of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Saturday the 7th of September.
In the final Leone beat Noel Gleeson from Nenagh 3 frames to 0 to go top of the RIBSA U-18 Rankings with a solid display and continued off his good form when he reached the QF of last months World IBSF U-16 Championship in Russia.
It promises to be another exciting series of U-18 RIBSA events this season with so many young talented players trying to qualify for the 2020 EBSA Under 18 Championship in Portugal and the standard was very good today.
- Semi Finals
In the Semi-Finals it was Noel Gleeson edging out Ryan McGuirk 3 frames to 2 while Leone Crowley beat fast improving Adam Hanlon in the other semi final 3-0.

The NEW closing date for all Junior entries this season will now be the the morning of the event at 10.00am and the draw will be then published on the ribsa web site at 10.15am. Action Starts at 10.30am.

Full Qualification System for EBSA Under 18 Championship
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have announced they will hold three International Ranking tournaments before Christmas to qualify the players. This structure will be organised by our National Coach PJ Nolan. This Qualification will run from September to December to qualify players for the 2020 European Under 18 Championships.
Format
The RIBSA U-18 events will be the best of 5 frames including the final. A plate event will be held for first round losers on the same day.

Entry Fee
The entry fee will be €10.00 plus Reg. This can be paid on the day. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the three events plus in the plate.
