Ireland’s current National Under 16 Champion Leone Crowley from Cork remains the only Irish player left in the 2019 IBSF Under 16 World Snooker Championships here in Tyumen, Russia.
This morning in the last 16 Leone played fantastic snooker in beating Michael Robert Joyce from England 3-0 to move into the Q-Finals against Indian Ranveer Duggal at 10am Irish time.
Unfortunately, Jack Newman, Lewis Casserly are out after Lewis was beaten 3-1 by Antoni Kowalski from Poland and Jack was beaten by Ranveer Duggal from India 3-0. Both matches were very tight and the boys gave it 100% and both should be very proud of what they achieved here in Russia.
Leone is now fully focused on playing his best snooker at 12 noon Irish time and all the Irish will be cheering Leone on now.
Good Luck Leone !!!!
The five RIBSA Juniors qualified from their groups with Ryan, Leone, Lewis finishing second in their group while Jack and Ronan finished in third place in their group.
