The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have two Under 16 Irish Teams competing in this year’s Home Internationals in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
National Coach PJ Nolan ” said it is great for the development of the junior game in Ireland to have two U-16 teams here in Leeds for the first time this year as it will only help to give our young juniors experience of playing top class International Snooker which bodes well for the future‘
Four of the players will also compete in the IBSF World U-16 Snooker Championships in Russia next week.
The Under 16 Team 1 is Jack Newman, Leone Crowley, Ryan McGuirk, Noel Gleeson and the Team Manager is PJ Nolan.
The Under 16 Team 2 is Alex Currid, James O Connell, Adam Quinn, Ronan McGuirk and the Team Manager is Declan Quinn.
There are six countries in the HIBSF Under 16 event this year playing each other to find the 2019 Champions.
Session 1: Ireland B v England A – Score 0-12
Session 2: Ireland A v Wales – Score 10-2
Session 3: Ireland B v Wales – Score 4-8
Session 4: Ireland A v Scotland – Score 7-5
Session 5: Ireland A v Ireland B – Score 11-1
Session 6: Ireland B v England B – Score 2-10
Session 7: Ireland A v England A – Score 3-9
Session 8: Ireland B v Scotland – Score 5-7
Session 9: Ireland A v England B – Score 2-10

The Men’s & Masters Championship was held from the 9th – 12th of August. The Under 16 and Under 21 Championships will be held from the 12th – 15th of August and the Billiards will be held from the 15th -17th.
