The Republic of Ireland Masters Team of Michael Judge, John Torpey, Mark Tuite and Dylan Rees won the 2019 HIBSF Masters Home Internationals in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds to become the first ever Irish Masters team to win this Home International Title.
In the final match Michael Judge lost 1-2, John Torpey won 2-1, Mark Tuite was leading 2-0 and Dylan Rees won 2-1 to beat Wales ‘B’ to claim the title with 7 frames to 4 victory to ensure they write their names into the record books.

National Coach PJ Nolan ‘’ Said the players had a great team spirit and bond this year. They all stepped up when needed to win the vital frames in the matches all week. I am very proud of each player and they deserve this success after all the hard work they have done on the practice table.
The Team had a fantastic Masters event winning all three group matches to qualify for the semi-final’s stages. In the semi finals they had another great win over England ‘A’ 7 frames to 5 to reach the final on Monday morning.

The Masters players thanked RIBSA for organising the training camps with PJ in lead up to the Home Internationals and for the Mental Mind Session with Denis Coen last week in helping them achieve this success.
Team Captain Mark Tuite in his speech dedicated the victory to Rodney Goggins who had to pull out of the team last week due to his mum in hospital.
RIBSA would like to congratulate our Masters players on an excellent performance and all attention now switches to our RIBSA Juniors Under 16 and Under 21 teams will then begin on Monday evening.
I am sure our RIBSA junior players will have even more success for our association in these HIBSF events.
