David Morris from the Killkenny Shed won the 2019 Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association Senior National Snooker Championships in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club from the 10th -12th of May. In the final David beat Josh Boileau 7 frames to 3 to claim the prestigious Irish Title for the fourth time.
The Last 16 to the final was played during finals weekend in Carlow and the two former professional players qualified for today’s final. Both Davy and Josh played amazing snooker all weekend and the final was always going to be close.
In the morning session the first six frames were shared after Josh went 1-0 up, then Davy went 2-1 before Josh levelled at 2-2, Davy went 3-2 before Josh levelled again at 3-3 at the interval.

The Referee was Brendan Devlin and the marker was Pat Mooney. RIBSA President Jim Leacy was on hand for the presentation to the champion.
