The final of the 2019 147academy National RIBSA U-12 Snooker Championship will be between David Farrelly from Celbridge SC and Jack O Brien from Rathkeale SC after both were in great action in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Sunday the 14th of April.
This event was sponsored by PJ Nolan’s www.147academy.com and there was free entry to all the players under 12 on the 1st of January 2019 into the Championship. The final will be played during RIBSA finals weekend from the 10th – 12th of May.
- Semi Finals
In the semi-finals David beat Marie Gleeson from Nenagh 2 frames to nil while Jack beat Judd White from the Hawks Nest in Waterford in the other semi-final 2-0. Judd and Marie really impressed on the day and they will be back next year to compete for this title.
PJ said” he is delighted to again sponsor this U-12 Championship as it is so important to encourage the young players into our sport on the National stage. This event is, and will always be the stepping stones in helping them become the big stars of the future. Having my 147academy linked to this development and it will be a big honour to have David of Jack the 147 academy U-12 Champion.
- Thank You
RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms SC for hosting the Championship and Referee Conor Doyle plus the players on making it a big success. Finally Good luck to David and Jack and it promises to be a great best of 5 frames final during finals weekend.
